Disclaimer: “Pure” GNM www.germannewmedicine.ca does not advocate the use of EFT with the base premise; long-term counseling is better & safer. The following piece was written in response to posts, that I have made on GNM group, to some members who felt I was belittling Dr. Hamer and/or not being politically correct in my postings. That said, I am posting this first, because it is bound to come up in future discussions.
Four years ago, I read everything that I could find on the net (that was in English) that Dr. Hamer wrote. I didn't study it and memorize it word for word, but I had a very good handle on the base principles that emotional/ trauma/ conflict was the originator of the disease process & secondly there was a specific BODY MAPPING pattern involved, after, the EFT Conference at Springfield, Missouri. I had already been introduced to Louise Hay's work, which is referenced in just about all Quantum Energy books written. At the same time, I happened to obtain a copy of Dr. Lincoln's work, who has taken the same principles that emotions create illnesses and specific emotions affect specific body parts creating a comprehensive very detailed & expanded dictionary. All represent brilliant people, developing the same concept and expanding that concept in their own field. What a gift to the world! Dr. Hamer's discovery/research is based on the base principles of emotional/trauma/ conflict was the originator of the disease and there is a specific pattern or mapping involved to body damage & only after resolving the conflict could we heal; Louise Hay the same in a simple "digestible" loving manner and we need to "Love ourselves to do the healing" giving us wonderful loving affirmations to help along the way. Dr. Lincoln's work is based on the same principles only further expanded, is very blunt & because of that "not as digestible" as Hay, but, he takes you through the thought/feeling process to probable cause from childhood & original source of conflict that needs healing. There is more similarity than difference, and many of the same "conflict"/emotions are listed in all three of their works, (hearing problems for example), which if you are familiar, you will realize. So, my belief is they are based on same resources &/or "angels speaking". Tools to be used together vs. in competition. Anything, that I present, is based on that belief & out of a deep respect for all three. At the same time, Dr. Callahan was developing/discovering/teaching his method, which Gary Craig developed & refined further into EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques. It was only after, applying the process to relieve emotional stress (his original goal as a personal coach was to help people overcome success blocks), that it was soon apparent that EFT was also in many cases relieving pain and people were overcoming minor and sometime major health challenges, there were no known side-effects and anyone could do it and incorporate the principles into their life. Another brilliant gift to the world!! He also, encourages everyone to "try it on everything"! So adding another tool and suffering miserably with a sinus infection, I decided to see if I combined all the above principles/works, would/could I find relief? "Killing two birds with one stone"! Solving my misery and proof of all the above theory. I did in about an hour & a half and have not suffered with a sinus infection since, that time. I won't go into detail because of time issues, but, basically, after taking each of the insights on Dr. Lincoln's list, & processing in EFT, there was some form of physical sign or energy movement that I could feel. After, many, many hours and study, I realize now, that each emotion/conflict addressed was blocking an energy/acupoint to some degree; facing/healing the insight through the EFT procedure released the blockage and my stuffed sinuses one symptom at a time, until I was completely relieved of the problem. At the time, I really hadn't made the meridian/acupoint connection, I was just very happy, I could breath, my head was clear & putting all of the above together with a successful results made it all believable.........Proof Positive and erasing self-doubts and skepticism I had at that time. Continuing to follow that same protocol, I have processed many issues/symptoms for the past four years, and have also discovered how involved our meridian system is. Now, in reality, this is a no-brainer, once the pieces of the puzzle are in place, but, for whatever reason, other than Gary, there is very little from the work of the other three that even alludes to our Meridian System as a source. My guess, that was because, although they embraced the concept, from the Chinese 5000 years old, there wasn’t any current “scientific proof” when they started and they didn’t want to add any more skepticism to the pie. That has changed, there now is scientific proof that Energy and our Meridian System in reality exists! Dr. Hamer must be in agreement, because he recommends acupuncture for relief of symptoms. EFT and other energy modalities are based on acupressure a form of acupuncture incorporating "conflict/trauma" and our psyche/sub-conscious/soul/mind-thoughts with loving acceptance & forgiveness, which 80 to 90% of the time brings some form of resolution if not completely most always a downgrading occurs naturally, to open the way for further healing. Again, I do not see any conflict or disagreement in any of the above. They all add pieces to the puzzle, all out of passion and love, all for the same cause "human healing" in a kinder, gentler means than the currant medical paradigm. This material is presented as a scientifically based model/construct, which ultimately, if it is indeed correct, will change the face of medicine. I totally agree! Treatment of symptoms is still recommended by Dr. Hamer, when it is necessary for the comfort or saving of the life of the patient. So, you can see that it itself is not a treatment. Here, is another place that all of the above mentioned can be used in combination, all supporting the same principles. Dr. Lincoln's book goes into much more detail and addresses pain, chemo, itching even, plus further insights to specific cancers, that, I know are true, just from observing and loving people around me. Again, it isn't in conflict! While, Dr. Hamer was using his brilliance writing and proving his concept expanding on the physical body process, Dr. Lincoln was doing the same on our psyche/mind-thought process (as were others-there are other books available) Could either one have done both at the same time, does it make either one less brilliant? Add EFT to the process combining both, and you have a very possible gentle/non-invasive solution for management (if you make that choice, there are hundreds of examples of uses on www.emofree.com). and possibly a "CURE"! A four-letter word, everyone is forbidden or afraid to use! And, I again beg to differ with Scott's assumption and fear EFT is all about $$$$'s other than in reverse. If anything, it works so fast and effective, that it creates a vacuum in professional appointments, for repeat scheduling! . Good for the patient, but, it means more marketing for the practioners, hence, Anne Adam's information on location, location...etc.! The other fact, it was developed to be used without a practitioner if not needed. Although, I am not necessarily recommending/or not recommending it is possible! Which is an added plus, while we are all waiting for the medical & psychological professionals to sort/battle out their belief systems on who is right or wrong in their scientific theory and who gets credit for what. Which are worthy battles, but, mean little in the terms of healing, for the soul of someone trying to overcome a disease to live an active, happy life or for a family member, now! Because, some well meaning, educated person, has told them they have 6 months to live, supplying another "crisis/conflict" which Dr. Hamer very explicitly describes as doing as much or more damage than the original problem. They do not have any TIME! Or, at least, that has been what they have been told!!! To add onto that, in many cases, what they have been offered as a possible solution is to be cut up, dosed with chemicals & radiation damaging both healthy and unhealthy cells, and compromising or adding more stress to their immune system, which almost guarantees the prognosis as true and who ever stated it as a genius. "Well, I guess he (doctor) was right, he said he only had 6 months!" I am not a doctor of anything, that being said, I have nothing to loose (license), but, much to gain in personal peace in helping someone else by sharing what I have discovered and believe with a passion. If we can overcome all our "writings on our walls” all of us, maybe there is a cure out there. Awareness/knowledge is key to wisdom. However, we must not blindly accept anything – instead we must give it a chance, in case it is correct, or worthy and of benefit to all, after we have taken the information in, and tested it to the best of our ability Valid advice! Most of what I first learned about Dr. Hamer's research, I read on www.healingcancernaturally.com based from Germany, she does incorporate other thoughts and research on the subject. Dr. Brody for one. I took that information, placed it in a survey of 34 questions and posted it on my web site. To see survey: www. naturalforcesforhealth.com/cancersurvey.html. It has been running for 3 1/2 years. I am working on currant totals, but these are the results from April 2007. If the chart doesn’t post- to see copy www.naturalforcesforhealth.com/CANCER-SURVEY-SUMMARY.html
I posted the questions to confirm or validate Dr. Hamer's theory, because I didn't have access to his writings in German, so, while you, bless your heart, were translating, I chose this route. The results are interesting and there were some surprises for me. Less than 70% answered true to question # 20 under Internalizing Trauma, Experienced damaging event 2 years or less, from their own perception. Secondly, over 90% felt there was a lack of closeness to one or both parents growing up # 13 under History of Relationship to Parents or Others. Breast Cancer was the only specific cancer, that there were enough responses to make a separate tabulation. Interesting, they had more true's for all questions, Females as a group 2nd and Males 3rd. I attributed at least some difference to the female / male difference in specific question/emotions asked that were more female orientation problems, such as helplessness. But, maybe just females are more geared to think in terms of feelings, so that it was easier to relate to the wording of the questions? But, that is all speculation, on my part. Any professional observations or comments would be appreciated, thank you! Regardless, of the %'s, all respondents had major issues enough to support Dr. Hamer's work and give openings to insight to causes to be treated for reconciliation/forgiveness, & resolving conflict whether it be long-term counseling or short-term. So, I offer it here for your consideration as a learning tool, only! At the time, of my cancer diagnosis, all were true for me. However, not Dr. Hamer's male/partner shock for uterine cancer! His second explanation of a children/grandchildren trauma conflict (going back to my daughter loosing twins) is however right on & estrogen dominance, I might add. “Every cancer starts with a DHS, i.e. an extremely brutal shock, an acute and dramatic conflict lived in isolation and perceived by the patient as the most serious one he has ever known.” This was true for me, OK! All, but two, of the surveys, were submitted over the net. My neighbor's is one of the exceptions. She had breast cancer and has since died, totally debilitated from western standard treatments. Carol answered negative to question # 20 and told me she searched and searched and couldn't find one, but felt it was more of an accumulative process of issues over time. Again, I offer that as added insight, for a possibility. She had children issues, but, they were long term, she also had some husband issues, again long term. So, in answering negative to #20, doesn't mean they are not valid issues! It is the absolute that might need softening. Another term, "Dreams Interrupted" is softer (from Dr. Mercola's video's) which I am going to add to # 20 in the survey. I have spent the time on this, to emphasis that for those of you who feel I am anti-Dr. Hamer that is not true. Where, GNM's goal maybe different, mine has been to take the major concept of "Negative Emotional Conflicts cause Illness ~ There is a Specific Pattern Proven in Dr. Hamer's Work ~ Specifically Affecting Specific Brain Area's ~ Healing the Conflict Very Possibly may/will/can Heal the Illness Without the Necessity of Invasive & Damaging Therapies"Proved by the many, many examples of success of EFT, for all kinds of health issues. (I had no difficulty understanding those insights, the first time, I was introduced to Dr. Hamer's work, I might add. Much of it was made easier, because of my Energy Medicine background. ) and putting them to work for myself and then to share that knowledge. The path to least resistance and most helpful was to incorporate my knowledge at that original time, with what, I knew about our Energy Meridian Systems and EFT, which has grown expansively in the past 4 years. I was pleased to be reminded that Dr. Hamer recommends acupuncture; I do not remember ever reading that fact, before. Another piece is added to the puzzle of connection & inter-relationship & eliminates any conflict. Thank you!
Blessings, Sylvia
