RECTUM (ANUS)
PHYSICALLY: The terminal part of the large intestine from the sigmoid colon to the
anal canal. Feces are stored in the rectum before defecation.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Is connected to our discovery process. Holds expressions and
feelings. Imbalanced energy can mean the person is unable to release negative thoughts
and old thought patterns, and guilt from their past. The anus is the releasing point–
dumping ground. Deep feelings of vulnerability, humiliation and fear of sexuality.
Resistive to eliminate negativity. Holding perceived survival threats. Self-suppressing
and feeling-avoidant. Fear of letting go due to anticipated loss of vital life supports,
usually learning in an oppressive or repressive household. Holding on to the past or
refusal to forgive themselves. Constipation related to hardened points of view; whereas,
diarrhea shows a person’s inability to hang on to one’s own viewpoint (easily swayed).
PELVIS/BUTTOCKS:
PHYSICALLY: The Pelvis is a basin-shaped structure in the skeleton of many vertebrates
that is formed by the pelvic girdle and adjoining bones of the spine.
The Buttocks are located at the back of a hip that forms one of the fleshy parts on which a person
sits.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Birthplace of mental/spiritual developments. Beginning of one’s
vitality and life force. Energy imbalances in this area may mean a person trying to
control their position in life in attempts to create a secure comfortable environment.
The buttocks represent power or loss of power. Buttocks: Fear of not having enough
capacity to cope with life’s demands. Intimidated by those in power or are afraid to
exercise their own power. Deficient shit-on-you attitude caused by a family member
who was an extortionist in their approach. Sexual guilt generated from a sexually
repressed household. Pelvis: Self-alienation and rejection of their feeling and thoughts.
Blocking creative, procreative aspects of themselves. Avoiding social, emotional and
sexual connection. Afraid of the independence and selfhood. Habitual negativity of
thoughts.
LOWER ABDOMIN, REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS:
PHYSICALLY: The Abdomen is the part of the body cavity below the chest, between
the thorax and the pelvis. It contains the stomach, lower part of the esophagus, small
and large intestines, liver, gallbladder, spleen and internal genitalia.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Problems in this area relate to the incorrect use of one's
judgement (wisdom). Feeling possessive of someone or of something or on the other
hand feels possessed. Feelings of undue tension, fear and anxiety, which constricts
the energy flow.
PHYSICALLY: The Reproductive Organs in this box relate to the testes and the uterus.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Problems here are often connected to rejecting one's masculinity
or the male gender. Resultant of possible unresolved feelings towards mother.
URETHRA:
PHYSICALLY: The tube that conducts urine from the bladder to the exterior.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Relates to one’s ability to release life’s pressures and separate
oneself from burdens. Issues related to one who is pissed off at. Angry emotion. Blame.
KIDNEY:
PHYSICALLY: The Kidneys’ primary function is to filter the blood and excrete metabolic
wastes as urine. When protein breaks down, waste and toxins are removed. Further-
more, the Kidneys regulate the body’s water retention (maintaining its proper water
balance) and acidity level (pH).
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Connected to our temperament of criticism, disappointment,
failure, shame and childlike tendencies. Holds our emotional problems and anxieties.
Primal fear and abandonment anxious. Vulnerability with associated anxiety, worries
and fears over money issues. Self-disappointment and unhappiness. Needs to master
their negative thinking.
URETER:
PHYSICALLY: Pair of tubes that conducts urine of the kidneys to the bladder.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: This organs relates to the distribution of feelings and one’s
ability to deal with their feelings. How one sorts out their feelings.
BLADDER:
PHYSICALLY: A sac-shaped organ that has a wall of smooth muscle and stores the
urine produced by the kidneys.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Holding onto old ideas and emotions–fear of letting go. Need to
get rid of something toxic in their life either things, situations or people. Feels a need
to release pressure in their life. Lack of self-love and feeling that their need for love is
unfulfilled and unfulfillable (false hopes) stemming from a non-supportive childhood.
ADRENAL GLANDS:
PHYSICALLY: The adrenals are mainly stimulated by the sympathetic nervous system
to produce epinephrine (fright, flight or fight–check heart and lungs) and
norepinephrine (slows the heart rate and breathing). Also affects carbohydrate
metabolism, electrolyte metabolism and the sex glands.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Anxiety. Emotional exhaustion. Running on empty and are
drained of their “life force.” Too much stress and over-responsibility and can no longer
“carry the load.” No longer caring for the self–one’s ability to build-up self-love.
Manifesting nihilistic defeatism, anger and authority and control freak. Frustration,
impatience and engaging in irritability and demandingness. Suffering from overload,
threats to well-being, fear, anxiety and stress to the point they no longer care for
themselves. Over-active: Too open to all inputs and therefore not being able to control
the contents of their mind.
REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS:
PHYSICALLY: Affects the sex drive, sexual health and reproductive functions. Also
connects to the health of the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, kidney, bladder and prostate.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Related to male or female issues, sexuality and feelings. Gender
and sexuality issues.
SPINE:
PHYSICALLY: The spinal column, consisting of 33 vertebrae: seven cervical, twelve
thoracic, five lumbar, five sacral and four coccygeal.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The vertebrate spinal column which connects the feeling and
power centre. Inner stability and flexibility. Indicates if one stays true to oneself.
Imbalance shows the suppression of emotions and the person is controlled by the
intellect. Lower back pain can be the result of an upper area conflicting with the lower
back (check different energy blocks) meaning too much structure and control. Anchoring area for
action. Sense of security are located here. Disbalance of power or feeling under-supported. Self-
doubt. Fear of financial failure and seep insecurity over basic support. Fear of abandonment from
early childhood. The lower back also holds fear of money. Lack of financial support. The mid back
region holds guilt (area behind the heart). How will the world react. Fear of environment or being
stabbed in the back. Moral issues or guilt over the past. The upper back links to lack of emotional
support. Feelings of being unloved or holding back love. Problems here represent a felt need to
“earn” love, a feeling that they don’t deserve love or a feeling that they don’t dare let love in or out.
Felling unloved, unsupported emotionally while also simultaneously feeling over-loaded with
responsibilities. Stored anger and bitterness of unexpressed feeling and as well as feeling of being
unlovable. Lack self-approval. Feeling frustration and
irritation over not doing what they really want to do, out of their over-developed
sense of responsibility and their under-developed sense of deservingness. The spine
supports our life force (chi) and with imbalances in our spine’s energy flow it suggests
a lack of trust in life and inflexibility with changes.
HIPS:
PHYSICALLY: The hips are the region of the body where the thigh bone articulates
with the pelvis. Carries our body in perfect balance.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: When imbalanced results in feeling of unharmony in one’s life.
Lack of emotional and physical self-support. Our hips thrust us forward in major
decisions. When problematic one may feel that they have nothing to look forward to.
Fear of power and strength (fear of making major decisions) resultant from imbalance
of the power in their family home. Flexibility in areas of life in general and the vitality
in which one proceeds in life. Unable to be “hip.”
KNEES:
PHYSICALLY: The hinge joint between the end of the femur, the top of the tibia and
the back of the patella (kneecap).
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Show us how flexible we are in life. Connected to our pride
and ego centre and blockages in this area relate to how flexible we are in changes of
the direction in our life. Devotion, flexibility and surrender issues. Obstacles. Problems
with surrendering to spontaneity, flow and the inability to bend and be giving at
the moment. Connection of one’s beliefs and what is really true. Direction issues and
distrust in the universe.
FEET:
PHYSICALLY: The feet are the pedal extremities of the legs.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The action of how one is moving forward in life–the way one is
proceeding in life. Problems may mean that the person does not like the direction they
are heading towards or that they have a fear of their future path. Connects us the
understanding of ourselves, life and others. To prove stamina and to hold one’s point
of view. Ability to go for one’s goals.
ELBOW:
PHYSICALLY: The hinge joint between the bones of the upper arm and forearm.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Resisting changes in the direction of their life. Holding off new
experiences. Inability to feel a sense of achievement.
LEGS:
PHYSICALLY: Each of the limbs on which a human stands or walks.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Our legs move us through life and when there is imbalances in
the energy it pertains to the fear of going forward in life–consciously or unconsciously.
Fear of the future. Also connected to our rootedness in life. Upper leg - adult life
experiences. Lower leg - Childhood experiences.
LOWER ARM (HANDS):
PHYSICALLY: Either of two upper limbs of the human body.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The arms have to do with one's ability to grasp or let go of ideas.
Left arm - Receiving side. How one takes things in from the outside world. Right arm -
Giving side. How one gives to the outside world.
AVERAGE HEAD AREA:
PHYSICALLY: The average in this area gives us one’s overall state of mental health.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The averages of our brain organs reflect the power that we have
in our thoughts and the overall countenance or personality. Consequently, high or low
values can reflect how “driven” we are, if we are affected by anxiety or fear, whether we
are emotionally balanced, clear thinking, etc.
AVERAGE BELLY/CHEST AREA:
PHYSICALLY: The average in this area gives us one’s overall state of physical health
and what feelings are predominant. The belly is also referred to as the abdomen or
abdominal cavity. The Chest area includes the thorax and all the organs (e.g., heart,
great vessels, esophagus, trachea, lungs) and tissues (bone, muscle, fat) that lie between
the base of the neck and the diaphragm.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: This area is our emotional centre. One holds unresolved fears
here. Also relates to feelings of not feeling approved.
AVERAGE LOWER ABDOMEN, LEGS:
PHYSICALLY: The lower Abdominal area is the portion of the trunk lying between the
thorax and the pelvis. It contains the stomach, lower part of the esophagus, small and
large intestines, liver, gallbladder, spleen, and internal genitalia.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The combined average for the lower body regions gives a
general reflection of the individual’s ability to let go of the past and move forward
into the future.
Special Note:
The Left side of the picture is the masculine side and is usually affected by feminine
influences and issues. On the other hand, the right side of the body is the feminine
side and is affected by male issues.
