CEREBELLUM:
PHYSICALLY:
The Cerebellum (Latin for "little brain") is small brain that lies at the base of the
Cerebrum, and is attached to the brain stem. The Cerebellum is responsible for motor
co-ordination, movement, posture and maintaining balance and equilibrium. Symptoms
such as dizziness, vertigo, migraines, chronic tiredness and lack of coordination abilities are
linked to energy imbalances in the Cerebellum. As well, low energy in the Cerebellum can result
in poor posture.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The Cerebellum is said to connect to Karmas and all thought patterns
from the past. Stores old thought and behaviour patterns developed from one's childhood life
experiences related to the motor and sensory equilibrium. Derailment of one's ability to
coordinate and carry out intentions and actions can be the result if one were to made to feel
useless and inept as a child.
CEREBRUM:
PHSICALLY:
The Cerebrum is referred to as the "big brain" as it is the largest and uppermost
portion of the brain consisting of left and right hemispheres. The Cerebrum is concerned with
higher brain functions, interpreting sensory impulses and initiating muscle movements. It
stores information and uses it to process reasoning. It also functions in determining intel-
ligence and personality.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Deals with present issues. Imbalances in the right brain hemisphere
lead to problems in the handling of perceptual integration, emotional or experiential
processing and intuitive functioning. As a child s/he were not supposed to "get" what was
going on in her/his family. Left hemisphere imbalance results in confusion in her/his ability
to conceptualize, comprehend, interpret or rationalize. S/he was repeatedly told or taught
"not to think."
MESENCEPHALON:MIDBRAIN
PHYSICALLY:
The Mesencephalon (Midbrain) joins the hindbrain to the forebrain; therefore,
it is responsible in connecting one's logic and rationality to their creativity and intuition. The
Midbrain is also responsible for controlling sensory processes.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Connected mainly to present issues. Difficulties managing feelings and
in the process of evaluation and application of decision criteria. As a child they were not
suppose to arrive at the own conclusions and programmed to be emotionally illiterate.
FOREBRAIN:
PHYSICALLY:
Includes the cerebral hemispheres, the limbic system, thalamus, hypothalamus
and the corpus callosum. Collectively, the Forebrain functions to control cognitive, sensory
and motor functions; and regulates temperature, reproductive functions, eating, sleeping and
the display of emotions as well as problem solving abilities.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Connects to one's ability to plan ahead and the future or future thoughts.
When imbalanced the person would experience perplexity and befuddlement such as confusion
with facts. (High energy = inability in comprehending or navigating through the world. Low
energy = Intuition suppression.) Lack of understanding her/himself as a person or as a system.
They are over-thinking, fantasizing or suppressing thought resultant from never being allowed
to express feeling in their home.
HYPOTHALAMUS:
PHYSICALLY:
Said to govern the pituitary and pineal glands, which in turn governs the endo-
crine system. Controls the internal functions, the heart and the glands balancing energy, fluid
balance, heat regulation, activity and sleep, circulation, breathing, growth and maturation,
reproduction and emotional balance.
Psychologically: Feelings of rage, insecurity, displeasure, sadness or anxiety are connected
to the hypothalamus. Feelings that you are restricted in some area of your life.
TEMPORAL BRAIN:
Physically:
Located below the frontal lobe and above the ears. The Temporal brain perceives
and recognizes verbal material. The left Temporal lobe includes production of speech, naming
and verbal memory. The right area includes musical abilities, foreign languages, visual memory
and comprehension of the environment.
Psychologically: Disruptions in their ability to accept organize and store information, along
with problems in the processing of experiences may be resultant from rigid restriction on what
was and what was not acceptable.
BACK BRAIN:
Physically:
The top portion of the Back Brain contains the “body map” and reacts to the
perception of stimuli relating to touch, pressure, temperature and pain. The lower part is the
primary visual cortex.
Psychologically: Combined they connect one’s past experiences with one’s current situations–
how one’s reacts to one’s environment and real-life occurrences based on childhood learning.
Relates to past issues.
BACK OF HEAD:
Physically:
The part of the brain comprising of the cerebellum, pons and medulla oblongata.
Psychologically: Issues regarding what they are experiencing. Inability to see what was going
on as a child. Issues processing feelings, images and visualizations. Sensitivity in this area may
be associated with issues related to self-recognition and parts of one’s identity left behind (often
during childhood) or forgotten in one’s “shadow self.” Headaches are connected to the act of
invalidating the self. Medulla/Brain stem - Serious threatening disruptions of the life main-
tenance systems. They receive a "don’t be" injunction.
FOREHEAD:
PHYSICALLY:
Area where the cerebellum is joined to the cerebrum at the back of the head. Low
energy in this organ usually results in poor concentration abilities.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Stores feelings that are often pushed aside. Topics are generally known
but are not being addressed, which then leads to a variety of problems arising in one's life
(repeat problems present themselves). One is unable to perceive one's "spiritual assignment."
HYPOPHYSIS (Pituitary Gland):
PHYSICALLY:
The body’s master gland and secretes hormones that collectively influences all
cells and affects virtually all physiological processes. The Pituitary stimulates the thyroid,
adrenal glands, testes, ovaries, breasts, growth of long bones, muscles and internal organs,
mammary glands and kidneys. Affects growth, birth labour and the secretion of mother’s milk,
pigment in the skin and water retention.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Represents the control centre. Arrogance and egotistical. Feels insulted
and unhappy with their lot in life and feels that they don’t have any control of themselves of
their situation. Feels imbalanced and out of control and lacks the feeling that they are master
of their own domain.
PINEAL GLAND:
PHYSICALLY:
The Pineal gland is located deep within the “primal brain” at the base of the
brain and is light sensitive. It is believed to regulate the body’s sleep regulation apparatus–
produces melatonin which regulates our biological clock, influences jetlag, depression, S.A.D.
(Seasonal Affective Disorder) and stress.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Distrusts the Universe. Tries to keep others guessing as to whom they
really are and what they are experiencing or up to.
EARS:
PHYSICALLY:
The sense organ concerned with hearing and balance. The Ears are responsible
for maintaining equilibrium as well as sensing sound.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Capability to hear. Related to the physical capability and/or emotional
willingness to hear. One’s ability to listen–to let something else count. Sensitivity in the ears
may be related to suppressed anger, too much criticism or turmoil in one’s life, arguing parents,
etc.
EYES:
PHYSICALLY:
The organ of sight: a three-layer roughly spherical structure specialized for re-
ceiving and responding to light.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The capability to see and make aesthetic or intellectual judgements.
Fear of seeing oneself, life, family, future (near sighted), present (far sighted).
NOSE:
PHYSICALLY:
The sense organ relating to smell and a part of the respiratory system, which
also includes the sinus cavity. Problems in this area may be associated with sinusitis or
allergies.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Intuition of smell. Self-knowledge, self-recognition and self-worth. Issues
of being snobbish–"stuck up." Fear of intuition. Inability to "sniff out" opportunities, etc. Scared
someone is going to pull a fast one on them. Distrusts their own motivations and intuitions.
Unable to give themselves credit and lacking in self-pride. Sinuses relate to the feeling that one
is an irritant or needlessly pestering others. On the other hand an annoying or oppressive person
could be in one’s life.
MOUTH:
PHYSICALLY:
The system of related organs including the lips, teeth, tongue and associated parts,
with which food is chewed and swallowed and sounds and speech are articulated.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Expression and communication. Also has to do with the ability to take
in new ideas as well as express outwardly one’s thoughts, emotions and beliefs. Blockages in this
area may mean that a person is too set in their opinions. Desire to control or refusing to express
feelings. Not being able to say it like it is. Being able to taste life. Tight lipped.
THROAT:
PHYSICALLY:
It is the vocal expression and communication device of our being.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: This area relates to our self-image. The throat is self-reflective and
problems in the throat chakra might reflect communication difficulties in regard to one’s self-
image and the inability to speak up for oneself. Creativity may be stifled. A deficiency may
indicate that one is unable to express her/his needs.
THYROID GLAND:
PHYSICALLY:
Thyroid hormones affect three fundamental physiologic processes: cellular
differentiation, growth and metabolism. Feeling run down and tired as well as a poor attention
span, blood clotting and menstrual activity is attributed to inadequate production of the thyroid
hormones.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: Connected to communication with others, nature and the universe as
well as oneself. Humility. Problems in the thyroid may also be related to never having one’s way,
always putting others first or feeling left out.
NECK:
PHYSICALLY:
The part of the body between the head and shoulders.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY: The neck is a stress barometer where the emotions flow upward from
the body and enter the neck and further to be translated from emotions to thoughts or words.
The neck provides the energetic linkup between the mind and body as well as incoming and
outgoing calls and with an overload of calls we immediately feel tension in the neck. Imbalances
of energy in the neck can mean too much responsibility. Neck flexibility indicates amount of
stubbornness–refusing to see other sides. Difficulties in handling emotional issues. Inability
to translate feelings to expression.
